Diabetes Management: Introduction

Introduction

Thank you for listening to the following presentation on “Diabetes Management: Think of the Heart First”. This was prepared by Karen A. Amirehsani, PhD, FNP-BC, Assistant Professor of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing. 

 

Learners need to know how to manage diabetic patients and how to gear the patient plan of care initiatives towards cardiovascular and renal protective methods.

 

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the North Carolina Nurse Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  The continuing education module is provided by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing.

 

To obtain the continuing education credit and certificate for this activity, you will need to

  • complete the pretest
  • watch the entire video
  • answer the evaluation questions
  • complete the posttest with a score of 100%

 

At the end of this activity, 1 contact hour including XXX pharmacotherapeutic hour will be awarded.  Estimated time to complete the activity is one hour.  This module will be available until XXXXX.  This series was developed to increase the evidence-based knowledge and skills of advanced practice nurses and registered nurses.
