Health care providers are often challenged on how to manage patients requiring opioid therapy; this case base module has been designed to provide current evidence-based information and strategies to manage this challenging clinical situation.
Preceptors are encouraged to share these strategies with their health care provider students.
This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The continuing education module is provided by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing. To obtain the continuing education credit and certificate for this activity, you will need to
- complete the pretest
- watch the entire video
- answer the evaluation questions
- complete the posttest with a score of 100%
At the end of this activity, 1 contact hour including 0.25 pharmacotherapeutic hour will be awarded. Estimated time to complete the activity is one hour. This module will be available until January 27th, 2027. This series was developed to increase the evidence-based knowledge and skills of advanced practice nurses and registered nurses.
